In the process of promoting the green transformation of agriculture in Luquan, Luquan Jinhe Agricultural Materials Operation Co., Ltd. relies on an accurate grasp of local soil characteristics to deeply cultivate the R&D and production of organic fertilizers, launching multiple highly adaptable organic fertilizer products, becoming a "good helper" for farmers to develop green planting and improve the quality of agricultural products.
Luquan is a major county for livestock and poultry breeding, producing approximately 80,000 tons of livestock and poultry manure annually. In the past, some manure was piled up randomly, which not only polluted the environment but also caused resource waste. Jinhe Company found an opportunity in this, investing over 2 million yuan to build an organic fertilizer production line with an annual output of 10,000 tons. Adopting the eco-friendly process of "livestock and poultry manure + straw decomposition + microbial fermentation," it converts agricultural waste such as livestock and poultry manure, corn stalks, and rice straw into high-quality organic fertilizer. The organic fertilizer produced by the company is not only rich in basic nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium but also contains organic matter, humic acid, and various trace elements. It can provide nutrients for crops while also improving soil compaction and acidification issues, enhancing the soil's water and fertilizer retention capabilities.

To meet the growth needs of different crops, the company collaborated with the College of Resources and Environment of Yunnan Agricultural University to develop six major sub-categories, including special fertilizers for vegetables, fruit trees, and Chinese herbal medicines. Meanwhile, it launched a customized "soil testing and fertilizer formulation" service—farmers only need to make an appointment in advance, and the company's agricultural technicians will bring professional soil testing equipment to their doorstep to test indicators such as soil pH value, organic matter content, and nutrient composition. Based on the test results, exclusive fertilization plans are customized for farmers, accurately matching the amount of organic fertilizer and the application cycle.
At the vegetable planting base in Lawuka Village, Zhuanlong Town, farmer Zhang Hongmei planted 8 mu of lettuce. In the past, when chemical fertilizers were used, the lettuce frequently suffered from root rot and yellowing leaves, and pesticide residue tests were difficult to pass, with the purchase price only 1.8 yuan per kilogram. Since switching to Jinhe Company's special organic fertilizer for vegetables last year, the lettuce growth has improved significantly: "The leaves are big and green, crisp, tender, and juicy. Pesticide usage has been reduced by 40%. Now, purchasers come to buy it, and it sells for 2 yuan per kilogram, earning an extra 800 yuan per mu!" Currently, more than 30 households at the base have adopted the company's organic fertilizer. The yield of lettuce per mu has increased from 2,000 kilograms to 2,500 kilograms, and it has passed the green food test.
Since the beginning of this year, the company has sold over 800 tons of organic fertilizer, served more than 20 green planting bases in townships such as Zhuanlong and Yunlong, and driven farmers to reduce chemical fertilizer usage by over 30%. In the future, the company plans to invest 3 million yuan to expand the production line, develop new products such as bio-organic fertilizers and organic-inorganic compound fertilizers, and establish an "organic fertilizer production — green planting — product sales" industrial chain to assist in the sustainable development of agriculture in Luquan.
